Customer Need: Setting up a Steel Service Center and Inter-line Transportation
Ünallar Metal needed a 25-ton capacity transfer cart for their new steel service center, which would also include a paint line. There was a need for transportation between these lines where cranes could not reach.
The company was planning to purchase 3 rail transfer carts for these operations. After conducting site analyses, we concluded that a single self-propelled transfer cart would be more effective both in terms of cost and labor for meeting the company's expectations.
While the production of the first cart was underway, the company found the solution effective and requested a second cart. Currently, all active transportation operations are carried out with these two carts.
Project Challenges: Inter-line Transportation and Pandemic Period
The main challenge of the project was to solve the transportation between the lines where cranes could not reach. Additionally, the project coincided with the pandemic period, causing supply problems and serious issues. However, by working with reliable suppliers and expert personnel, the problems were overcome, and the project was completed and delivered smoothly.

As Fada Engineering, we suggested Ünallar Metal to use a single battery-powered transfer cart to perform all operations. This made it possible to carry out transportation operations more effectively and efficiently with two carts instead of 3 rail transfer carts.
