Customer Need: High Capacity Liquid Chemical Transfer
Hicri Ercili company is a business that produces chemical substances for purification plants and has many shipyards. They approached us with a special project need for transporting the chemicals they produce. The machine they use in production fills the chemicals on top of the cassettes, and these substances stack up to 10 rows, reaching a total weight of 30 tons. The customer was looking for a solution for transporting these chemicals in liquid form that would be compatible with the transport pallets used. Since the load was in liquid form, it needed to be transported without shaking or spilling.
Project Challenges: High Capacity and Sensitive Transportation
The main challenge in this project was to safely transport high-capacity chemical substances without shaking. The vehicle had to be a maximum of 600-650 mm in height to fit under the existing transport pallets. The height had to be not too high for transport safety and to minimize shaking.
Our Solution: Battery-Powered Four-Wheel Steerable Transfer Cart
As Fada Engineering, we developed a special solution tailored to the needs of our customer. We designed a battery-powered four-wheel steerable transfer cart that can carry approximately 30 tons of chemical substances in liquid form and can access the baskets with a hydraulic lifting system. This design provides operators with maximum maneuverability while minimizing collision and spillage risks through gradual acceleration, safety sensors, and bumpers.
This project was an important step in optimizing the customer's production processes and increasing workplace safety. The specially designed transfer cart improved operational efficiency by safely and efficiently transporting large-capacity chemical substances, reducing both time and energy consumption, and reducing operating costs with an environmentally friendly battery-operated system.
Our vehicle has been designed with the necessary infrastructure to operate autonomously in the future if needed. We are currently in discussions with our customer for 4 more vehicles. We plan to implement autonomous infrastructure and operate these 5 vehicles autonomously to prevent human errors and make more effective use of qualified personnel.
