Tırsan Trailer was manufacturing stainless steel tankers used for fuel and chemical transportation. During production, material handling operations between workstations were carried out using overhead cranes. However, cranes operating on the same production hall but moving in opposite directions caused frequent collisions, operational interruptions, and serious work safety risks.
The main challenge of the project was to eliminate crane collisions while ensuring a safer handling process. Moving transportation operations from overhead cranes to ground-based systems was identified as a safer alternative. In addition, stainless steel tankers entering the X-ray inspection cabin needed to be rotated in a controlled and precise manner.
FADA developed a project-specific battery-powered transfer cart equipped with an integrated welding rotator system. This solution replaced crane-based handling by enabling both transportation and controlled rotation of large, oval-shaped tankers directly on the transfer cart.
By integrating the rotator system into the transfer cart, crane interference was completely eliminated, and work safety was significantly improved throughout the production line.
The battery-powered transfer cart with welding rotator successfully eliminated crane collisions and ensured a safer production environment. The system also enabled controlled rotation of tankers during X-ray inspection. Designed to operate on slopes of up to 3%, the solution significantly improved production efficiency and process continuity.
This solution is suitable for stainless steel tanker production, heavy-duty manufacturing lines, and processes involving welding, X-ray inspection, and handling of large and oval-shaped loads requiring precise rotation and safe ground-level transportation.
FADA continues to develop custom-engineered solutions that enhance safety and efficiency in industrial material handling operations.
